Hiking from Lagos, Portugal to Luz on the Ponta da Piedade trail

We did this hike from Praia Dona Ana in Lagos, Portugal to Praia da Luz on June 1, 2024. The 10.5k hike showcases many amazing viewpoints and some spectacular beaches. We highly recommend the hike - just make sure you take plenty of water as there is little shade on the route. Also, the descent into Luz is steep at times and can be slippery, so if you don't like steep descents, you might want to bring some trekking poles or reverse the route and hike from Luz to Lagos so you are going uphill on the steep part.
