Next, we’ll head to Faial Island—the “Blue Island” of the Azores—where we’ll see the legendary Horta marina, murals of sailors from around the world, the Capelinhos volcano, and the newly formed land that emerged after the 1957 eruption. Then—Flores. The wildest, greenest, and perhaps most beautiful island of the Azores archipelago. Waterfalls, calderas, black sand beaches, misty forests, remote villages, Europe’s westernmost lighthouse, and the feeling that you’ve truly reached the edge of the world.
