Barbel fishing - a 'not so normal' day at the river

A bit of a shock returning to the river this week - the weed cutter had been through and ripped all of the weed out of the river, resulting in the water level dropping by about a foot and a half!! Then the beast returned. It came down and then back up the river twice that day making the river virtually unfishable with weed and debris coming downstream. Chris ‪@The_ginger_fisherman‬ said the water would drop drastically once they cut the weed but I didn't expect it to be so severe
