Funeral service for Mrs. Vanessa Maria Akins Weatherly will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, July 3, 2026 at the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (315 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35811) with Dr. O. Wendell Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35811. Mrs. Weatherly will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. The Huntsville Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Omega Omega Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2026 at the Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (315 Winchester Road, Huntsville, AL 35811). Public viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the Royal Funeral Home.
