Burwood has become a well-known suburb for different types of food, in particular Chinese food from different regions of China. We try things like pan-fried pork dumplings (生煎包 sheng jian bao), steamed bao buns (baozi), pineapple buns (菠蘿包 bolo bao, Cantonese/Hong Kong style), spicy cumin lamb skewers (in Xinjiang style, 新疆烤串), cold skin noodles (凉皮, liang pi) and a Chongqing style jelly dessert.
