IMMACULATE SCHOOL BUS ACCIDENT,ONE DEAD, SEVERAL INJURED IN MIHANG'O CHOKAA ROAD

Residents of Mihang'o, Chokaa area, are mourning one student and several others in the hospital after the school bus lost control and hit students who were going to school on Friday. Witnesses who saw the incident narrated to us on how the bus lost control and hit a Wall along Chokaa Mihango SDA stretch, killing one student of Stelurm Elite School on the spot, while others were taken to the hospital, including students from immaculate catholic primary school who were being ferried to school by the same bus. Speakers said it's high time school buses are re-inspected and their condition assessed, as they deal with delicate children in our society. They also urged schools to use elderly and experienced drivers to drive school buses, unlike youthful ones who speed and cause accidents. The police from Kayole police station took the matter as students continued with treatment. The school management refused to comment on the matter as the vehicle is at Kayole police station. Speakers cited negligence in the service of the school bus as they asked the school management to invest in service in their school buses. Residents urged relevant Bodies to put speed bumps in the stretch to avoid more accidents
