I wasn't in favor of this, for one reason, the number of likes or dislikes on a video isn't representative, since many of us aren't going to like a math video, and even if we don't like it a little, we'll dislike it, and the same goes the other way around. Just because it has a lot of likes doesn't mean the video is going to help us, nor does just because it has a lot of dislikes mean it's going to be crap. In any case, there is or will be a video explaining this in more detail.
