Cast on 36 stitches. Knit 7 cm in 1x1 ribbing, then continue in stockinette stitch. At 18 cm total height, work 3 cm in 1x1 ribbing. The mittens should be 21 cm in total height. After sewing the ribbing, try it on your hand to see where to leave space for your thumb, then sew the rest. 🥳 For the hat: Cast on 92 stitches, work 5 or 6 cm in 1x1 ribbing, continue in stockinette stitch. At 19 cm total height, knit two stitches together, work one purl row, then knit two stitches together again. When about ten stitches remain, thread a yarn through the remaining stitches to close. Sew the hat; it doesn't have a brim.
