How to pass MOT emissions test 1.6HDi engines (and others)

How to pass MOT emissions test in 1.6HDi, the Italian way! Here is how I passed my MOT emissions test with my 1.6HDi Peugeot Partner that had been failing the last two years. The car is a 1.6HDi Peugeot Partner (2007; 92bhp; ~103,000miles, same as a Citroen Berlingo). Simply before the MOT test the day before or on the morning before the test, find a good hill and floor the car to ~5,000-5,500rpm. Do this according to the speed of the road, you can do it in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and so on. Make sure that you drive belt is in good condition before doing this! The seal is a bit on the thin side, but I will report here if this has not stopped the water coming in.
