Much Given, Much Required | Candace and George Robertson-James | TEDxVillanovaU

Candace & George are caregivers to two parents struggling with dementia. We believe in to whom much is given, much is required. Being a caregiver has not only helped us to give back but to also learn many lessons in love. Dementia steals one’s life and legacy slowly however; it also births a sacrificial outpouring of love and advocacy in caretakers. This talk will inspire others to find ways to give more and appreciate the lessons of love that one gains in supporting others in a time of need. George James, Psy.D, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in helping couples improve the quality of their relationship, reconcile conflicts and overcome intense situations such as affairs, lack of communication, parenting struggles and much more. Candace Robertson-James, DrPH is the associate director of the Office of Urban Health Equity, Education and Research, research manager at the Women’s Health Education Program, and assistant professor of medicine. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
