Rhino Rally Desert Race February 2024

The Rhino Rally desert race in Warner Valley Utah is always one of the most popular races of the year. With a BLM imposed 300 max rider count (for big bikes), the event always sells out . The Rhino Rally uses a traditional hare and hound format with two separate loops although this year the course was a bit shorter and loop 2 was mostly a repeat of a shorter version of Loop 1. This was my first race back since breaking my back last Fall. I decided to team race with my older brother since he was also returning from a year break due to injury. I rode Loop 1 and he rode Loop 2. It felt great to get back on the bike and even though I was rusty, I still got just as much, if not more, joy from getting back on the bike and enjoying a fun course.
