NHS Health Check Video

If you’re aged 40-74 with no underlying health conditions and haven’t had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years, you may be eligible for a FREE NHS Health Check. The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health. The check will include assessment of your blood pressure, body mass index, waist size and cholesterol. The service will also include a conversation about your lifestyle, with consideration given to your results. Your health check could highlight if you’re at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as: • heart disease • Type 2 Diabetes • kidney disease • stroke During the appointment you’ll be offered information on how to reduce your risk of these conditions. If you’re 65 and over you will also be informed about the signs and symptoms of dementia.
