Forest Giant visits an 800-year-old Eastern Algonquian Stone Chamber 🫎

This Late Woodland Eastern Algonquian Stone Chamber housed a Porcupine family this winter. Listen to the Moose Cow sniffing the chamber and Momma Porcupine’s scent-marking stick. SOUND UP for Momma Porcupine’s vocal reunion with her long-lost Porcupette and a Great Horned Owl’s noisey chamber exit🦉 This Eastern Moose Cow stands at about the 6’ max shoulder height for Alces alces americana which can weigh 500-700 pounds. She looks pretty healthy with a dark molting coat and not much evidence of bad winter tick infestation.
