Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3 (17–19) | Are You Acting From Desire or Freedom?

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3 (17–19) | Are You Acting From Desire or Freedom? The Two Types of Action Explained | Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3 Verses 17–19 Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3 Verses 17–19 reveal a profound truth about action. Most people act to fulfill desires. Some act to free themselves from desires. But a realized soul acts without attachment to gain or loss. In this session, we explore: • The two types of action Krishna describes • Why honesty with yourself is essential on the spiritual path • The hidden desires behind our daily actions • The difference between a seeker and a realized being • How action continues even after inner freedom If spirituality becomes another desire, it becomes another chain. True freedom begins when we honestly see why we act. Bhagavad Gita as a Life Divya Sakshi Marg (DSM) From Mind to Awareness ##### Ordinary Mind: "I work to become important." Seeker: "I work to reduce greed and attachment." Realized: "I work because work is present." ##### Stage 1: Action to Fulfil Desire Most people act because they want something: Money Respect Love Recognition Security Spiritual status Enlightenment Action is being used to gain something. Example: "I meditate so I become enlightened." The meditation is not the goal. The desire behind it is the goal. Stage 2: Action to Get Rid of Desire The seeker becomes more aware. Now they realize: "My suffering is not because I don't have enough. My suffering is because I am constantly wanting." So action changes. Meditation is no longer to gain enlightenment. Meditation becomes a way to see desires and let them go. Service is no longer to gain punya. Service becomes a way to dissolve the ego. Stage 3: The Realized Soul Krishna describes this in Shlokas 17–18. The realized person: Does not act to gain. Does not act to avoid loss. Does not depend on anyone for inner fulfillment. Does not seek completion from the world. Yet they continue to act. Why? Because action happens naturally. Just as: The sun shines. Rivers flow. Trees give fruit. A realized being acts because action is the nature of life. Not because something is missing. #BhagavadGita #KarmaYoga #GitaChapter3 #Spirituality #SelfAwareness #Desire #NonAttachment #Vedanta #Krishna #InnerFreedom #Meditation #DSM #DivyaSakshiMarg #FromMindToAwareness Bhagavad Gita Chapter 3, Gita 3.17, Gita 3.18, Gita 3.19, Karma Yoga, Krishna teachings, desire and attachment, self awareness, spiritual growth, Vedanta, enlightenment, non attachment, freedom from desire, realized soul, action without attachment, Bhagavad Gita English, DSM, Divya Sakshi Marg, spirituality explained, practical spirituality, witness consciousness
