In this video, we are donating hair for the group called wigsforkids.com. This hair donation is for any kids with alopecia or cancer. There is a link below if you want to donate. In order to donate, you have to cut at least 8 inches off. You will first section off of the hair and then you will braid the hair. In order to donate, they prefer if you have virgin hair. After we cut the donated hair, we will cut some more and style. RaDona will then color the client’s hair as well. After braiding the hair, you will make sure that all of the hair is 8 inches. You will want to cut above the first hair tie. Anyone of any age can donate hair. If you don’t want to donate your hair, you can donate some money as well. To start the cut, you will section off of your hair and even out the ends so they are all the same length. You will use a little trimmer on the very first section to get clean up the end and back of the neck. To make sure you don’t cut it too tight, you will want to pull the hair out from the back of the head and then cut the hair. Use the piece that you cut before, and use it as a guideline. You will want to come through and texturize the hair later. You will want to use this and then cut the hair above the ear. This will turn into a short pixie haircut. The products she uses are unique to your type of hair and haircut. For the products that RaDona will use for this haircut, will make sure that the thin, fine hair looks thick and full. The first product RaDona uses is the Monat’s Root Lifter. You will especially put it in the top and back so that it will give volume and help the hair in the back stand up. Then RaDona uses Monat’s Moose. ( make sure you only use one pump. This moose is all natural and super concentrated. If you put in more than one pump, your hair will feel super heavy and have too much product in it.- one squirt is all you need). RaDona then uses Monat’s Thickening Spray. This spray will help make the hair look and feel thicker than it actually is. After adding these, you will start to blow dry her hair. After drying her hair, RaDona uses 2 drops of Monat’s Rejuvenique Oil. You will put it all over her hair to shine and condition her hair. Then RaDona uses Monat’s clay ( this is the perfect substitute for Distortion). This gives it more of a spike look and makes it thicker. This way you can manipulate the hair to how you want it.
