Three years ago, Brazilian rock lost Luiz Schiavon, keyboardist, composer, producer, and one of the great architects of RPM's sound. His death, on June 15, 2023, represented not only the farewell to a musician fundamental to the history of Brazilian rock. For many fans, it also marked the symbolic end of a possibility: to see the classic RPM reunited on stage again. After the death of Paulo P.A. Pagni in 2019, the original lineup could no longer return complete. But with Schiavon's departure, one of the central pillars of the band, that hope definitively transformed into a memory. In this video, we revisit the importance of Luiz Schiavon within RPM, his creative partnership with Paulo Ricardo, his career outside the band in soundtracks, television, and musical direction, and the legacy of an artist who helped build one of the most remarkable sounds of the 80s in Brazil.
