I Thought My $300 BMW Was DONE… | EP. 4: SHIFTY

I bought a $300 2006 BMW 330i, and this is EP4 of the build series. In this video, I finally get around to servicing the ZF transmission. I drain the old red fluid, replace the mechanical sleeves and bridge seal, and refill it with fresh ZF fluid. After that, I take care of a few more leaks and maintenance items including fresh oil, a new drain plug, a new oil cap, and the oil filler gasket. 🚗 After getting everything back together, I take the car for a drive and the transmission actually feels great. The shifts are smooth and for a second it feels like this $300 BMW might actually be coming back to life. But near the end of the video, I start noticing another drivetrain issue. 😂 This is Broke, But It’s a BMW — bringing a cheap E90 back from the dead with DIY repairs, a limited budget, and a lot of trial and error. Next episode: chasing down more problems and trying to make this $300 BMW reliable.
