In this video, we will create a Hourglass spring. We will use the following commands: Cylindrical spiral, Projection curve and others. First, we will perform auxiliary constructions in KOMPAS-3D. We will create two offset planes, the first is offset from the ZY plane by a distance of 60 mm, the second is offset from Offset plane1 by a distance of 60 mm. We will create three sketches, Two sketches contain a circle ⌀ 80 mm from the center, one sketch contains a circle ⌀ 50 mm. We will create an Element by sections. Next, we will create a cylindrical Spiral, then project it onto the Element face by sections using the Projection Curve command. The resulting curve will serve as a trajectory for the future Element by trajectory. Let's create a profile sketch, use the Element by trajectory command. The spring is ready.
