Many people think first about the barbecue grill, the countertop, the island, or the integration with the pool and backyard. But the truth is that the flooring makes all the difference in everyday life. ITEM 1 – Ceramic Tile Ceramic tile is one of the most used because of its cost-effectiveness, but it's important to consider its absorption rate. Some models are more porous and can stain over time. For gourmet areas that may get wet, a better option is stoneware ceramic, which absorbs less liquid. ITEM 2 – Porcelain Tile Porcelain tile for gourmet areas is one of the most versatile options. It has low water absorption, a wide variety of finishes, and can work very well in different styles. But you need to choose carefully: polished porcelain can be slippery, while satin, natural, or non-slip versions are usually safer. ITEM 3 – Liquid Porcelain Also known as epoxy resin, liquid porcelain can be used in covered gourmet areas, but it can scratch, stain, and suffer from strong sunlight.
