After moving an entire generation with the farewell of Naruto and Kurama, Kishimoto decided he was going to invalidate our feelings... ...And brought Kurama back! It was all so unexpected, while Jura and Hidari were invading Konoha to try and find Naruto, they found Kurama inside Himawari. All the tears I shed in my living room and had to explain that it was because of the Boruto cartoon were for nothing.
