Monday Action At Lichfield Trent Valley (WCML/XCL) 02/06/25

After an amazing week in London, I'm back home in the West Midlands. To kick things off, I headed to Lichfield Trent Valley situated on the West Coast Mainline and southern terminus of the Cross City Line from Birmingham. This station sees many passing Avanti West Coast services to/from London Euston. Due to a shortage of train crew amongst many other issues, LNWR services to/from Crewe and London Euston were cancelled with replacement buses in operation and northbound Avanti West Coast services were passing at a slower speed than usual after the recent engineering works on the trent valley line of the West Coast Mainline. I was also lucky to find a pair of LNWR Class 730/2 Aventras on test and passed this station twice.
