🚨 NO TOURIST CAN LEAVE VITÓRIA WITHOUT VISITING CAIEIRAS ISLAND! 🦐 - S1.EP230 👉 Leaving the Goiabeiras Pancake House After leaving the incredible Goiabeiras pancake houses (check out our previous video 👉    • 🍲 VOCÊ NÃO VAI ACREDITAR NO TAMANHO DESSA ...  ), we headed towards the famous Caieiras Island, a place we'd seen in videos but only really got to know now—and look, it was a decision that was totally worth it! 😍 ✨ Renovations and New Features on the Waterfront Caieiras Island is a charming little corner of Vitória, Espírito Santo, with a recent renovation that revitalized the entire waterfront, making it more accessible, beautiful, and welcoming for visitors. The new waterfront has a concrete boardwalk that stretches along several piers, contrasting with the old part, which is full of wooden bridges connecting restaurants built over the river. It's a true immersion in Espírito Santo culture and the charm of life on the banks of the Santa Maria da Vitória River. 🌊🛶 🍽️ Cuisine and Restaurant Hours Speaking of cuisine, local restaurants are famous for moqueca capixaba (a type of moqueca capixaba), a traditional dish that you must try when you visit. Restaurants are generally open Wednesday through Sunday, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but it's worth checking specific hours, as some may close earlier or open on different days. The atmosphere is perfect for those who enjoy fresh seafood and a unique waterfront experience. 🦐🍽️ 🚶‍♂️ Walking and Local Life During our tour, we walked along the new and old waterfront, passing families flying kites, children and adults enjoying a relaxed atmosphere—a lighthearted and authentic vibe that only this place offers. We also visited the pier overlooking the river and the majestic Mestre Álvaro Hill in the background, one of Vitória's landmarks. The leisurely walk reveals special corners, such as the historic Church of Our Lady of the Conception of Caieiras Island, built in the 19th century, which stands high on the island and exudes a beautiful energy, perfect for photos and a sense of local tradition. ⛪🌅 🌅 Sunset and Late Afternoon on the Island At the end of the day, we enjoyed the spectacular sunset between clouds and mountains, a setting that provided breathtaking views of the canal. As we passed the old bridge, we saw the bustling restaurants, still full of people enjoying traditional dishes, although the search for fried peroá was postponed until our next visit, as many restaurants were closing. 🚗 Parking and Final Tips Parking on the island was easy, and best of all: free! Great news for those traveling by RV or car. If you're planning an itinerary in Vitória, you can't miss Caieiras Island.
