The Oldest Map in Human History Marks a Civilization That Left No Other Trace

The linguistic analysis of why the name belongs to no known language family — and what the morphological structure suggests it was marking. Why the physical landscape of the northwest — dismissed by archaeology for over a century as peripheral — turned out to contain Göbekli Tepe: built 11,600 years ago, six thousand years before the earliest Sumerian cities, with no developmental period and no known origin culture. And what one specific Nagu description on the reverse of the Babylonian World Map says happened to that region. Not that it was empty. Not that it was uninhabited. That it was made desolate.
