July 6, 2026. Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello visited the USB (Simón Bolívar University) Litoral campus, which will be converted into a temporary camp for victims of the June 24 earthquakes. Mayer Mizrachi, mayor of Panama City, sent humanitarian aid to Venezuela but placed one or more Apple Airtags (mini-GPS devices) inside it and then "reported" that the aid he donated had been sent to Monagas state. A displaced family that had been relocated to that state (along with 60 others) had received the aid, but Mizrachi's irresponsible statements caused fights among neighbors, who went to a business they accused of stealing the aid.
