Jennifer Montone - Injuries and Recovery
Jennifer Montone, principal horn player of the Philadelphia Orchestra, invited me to her home for an interview about the injuries she has had to navigate throughout her career as a professional French horn player. She shares tips on how she has become a stronger woman in both her mind and body. She references several ways to overcome fears and doubts and she gives a great example of how to use her "pillars" of breathe and time to start Bruckner Symphony No.4. She also uses "walking meditation" for when she has to walk on stage...Her story is remarkable and admirable in her determination to make it happen. This is for any French horn player, musician or fan interested in the twists and turns of a musical career.
