Is PMU Semi-Permanent or Permanent? The Truth About Cosmetic Tattoos, Fading, and Longevity

#permanentmakeup #pmu #pmutraining #pmuartist Here is my favorite video on how tattoos behave inside the human skin:    • What Tattoos Do to the Skin   ----- Update: I didn’t expand on this enough in this video, but notice how the frustrated Ephemeral Tattoo clients all had the same complaint: the tattoo did not COMPLETELY fade! Though a lot of these tattoos faded by well over 80%, clients were unhappy because there were still unflattering remnants left behind. It seemed like clients were misled into getting a “semi-permanent-permanent tattoo”. They got the worst of both worlds, with the tattoo fading very quickly, but never disappearing! In PMU, our tattoos are expected to fade in 3 years, but never fully disappear. You can even call our work the REAL “made-to-fade” tattoos! So, why does it work for us but not for them? Because we inform everybody on exactly what to expect, so there will never be unhappy surprises. PMU artists are required to provide informed client forms, so everyone can look at the pro’s and con’s before committing to their tattoo. Honesty is what makes or breaks us in this line of work. If people are trusting us with their precious faces, we need to aim higher and do better. Remember: tattoos will fade, not completely disappear! 🎓 Brought to you by Hyper Real Academy, an AAM-certified training institution Ready to get your PMU license?
