VN24 - Herbern / Germany - In the early morning hours before 6:00 a.m. a truck driver left the road with his refrigerated semitrailer truck on the A1 near Herbern and drove into the ditch for reasons not yet clarified. The semi-trailer truck, loaded with 18 tons of yoghurt and milk products, lay down diagonally on the slope in the direction of Dortmund and slid along it for many meters. It remained in this sloping position. According to previous findings, the driver was slightly injured and was taken to hospital. The quite simple accident turned out to be a difficult action. Since the tipping point was not reached during the erection, the truck lay down again and again in its bed. Only with two recovery vehicles and an 80-ton crane it was possible to erect the truck and pull it out of the ditch.
