Mechanisms and Management of Dive Accidents
This talk, presented by Nick Bird, MD, MMM, DAN Chief Medical Officer, addresses the underlying physics and physiology of decompression illnesses and appropriate prehospital management of dive injuries. Dr. Bird also describes causes of diving-related fatalities and primary methods of accident prevention as well as signs and symptoms of decompression illness and treatment procedures.
