How to calibrate a pressure transmitter fully automatically
Beamex ePG Electric Pressure Pump and Controller: https://hubs.la/Q01dqwp70 Beamex MC6 Multifunction Calibrator and Controller: https://hubs.la/Q01dqx0y0 Experience a better way to calibrate pressure with the Beamex ePG. In this video we will show you how to make a fully automatic calibration of a pressure transmitter using the Beamex ePG Electric Pressure Pump and the Beamex MC6 Multifunction Calibrator and Communicator. The pressure transmitter used has a range 0 to 5 bar (about 75 psi), with 4 to 20 mA output, and we will do a 3-point calibration – 0, 50 and 100 %. To do a fully automatic calibration, all you need to do is to click this “Start” button on the Beamex MC6 and the calibration starts. The first calibration point is zero, so we wait for stabilization and the first point is automatically saved. Then, the calibrator sends the next setpoint to the pump and calibration proceeds automatically. In the top left corner, we can see the pressure, which is the input to the transmitter. In the top right corner we see the transmitter output current. This part is the error graphics, with the blue lines representing the maximum error limits. The automatic calibration ensures that the calibration is always done with the same process and that it is repeatable. The calibration is also documented automatically in the MC6’s memory, from where the calibration results can be uploaded to calibration software. There is no need to do any manual entry of calibration results. An automatic documented calibration improves quality and saves time and money. As the calibration results are stored automatically, it ensures the quality and integrity of the results. You may even activate the electronic signature in the calibrator. If you don’t have a Beamex MC6 family calibrator, you can also use the Beame ePG pump to control the pressure with the arrow keys. This way the ePG can be used with any pressure calibrator to replace a hand pump.
