Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) is a breathing technique that may be used for left sided breast cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy. DIBH incorporates specialized imaging technology and lighted coaching panels to allow patients to participate in their treatment. This radiation therapy technique has been shown to reduce radiation dose exposure to the heart and lung. Your radiation oncologist will review your case to determine if DIBH is right for you.
