New York City - April 2026

They say you should never repeat the same shot, but a city that is constantly changing deserves to be documented over and over again. 📸🗽 Walking through Lower Manhattan past the Charging Bull, Wall Street, and Trinity Church, I realized how much I love the routine of returning here. Yet, it’s the new discoveries that steal the show. For me, this trip was all about Hunter’s Point. I stumbled upon it early in the trip, and it immediately became my sanctuary. The way the sunset hits the East River from there is so peaceful, I had to go back on my very last night just to say goodbye to the skyline. ✈️ Send this to your favorite travel partner and start planning your next photography walk. This trip was filled with an explosion of flowers, greens and enthusiasm for slightly warmer weather, but it was a pretty cold trip, y'all. The Macy's Flower Show was the perfect way to start off the trip (right across from my hotel). I kicked off my first full day at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden to try to get one last peek at the Cherry Blossoms. I was rewarded with the most beautiful and unexpected row of tulips and this incredible bonsai museum (there's a different video about this specifically). I headed to Park Slope to warm up and defrost after the BBG before making my way back to Manhattan to check out Harlem Meer and Conservatory Garden before heading INDOORS to see the incredible scale model of the 5 boros at the Museum of the City of NY (highly recommend!). The next day, I wandered around Midtown and DUMBO. I can't imagine a trip to NYC without taking a long ferry ride on either river. I discovered Hunter's Point, LIC on this trip and it has become one of my favorite sunset spots. Wrapped up the weekend by photographing the amazing 5 Boros Bike Tour through Midtown and Central Park. Did the parks tour - Central Park, Washington Square Park, Union Square, Madison Square Park. Swung by the Friends building and found some adorable dancers. Sunrise at DUMBO is so peaceful and beautiful. The Time Out Market Rooftop at sunrise - WOWZA! Did I walk across the Manhattan Bridge again? Maybe.... LOL. I love that view!!! Headed up more hills in Brooklyn to check out the views from Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Squibb Park Bridge. Another ferry to and from Staten Island because WHY NOT? On the way to lunch at Eataly by Oculus, I stopped by a few spots in Lower Manhattan - Charging Bull, Fearless Girl, Trinity Church, NYSE and Wall Street. And while repeating activities in NYC is part of my routine because it is constantly changing, I had to go back to Hunter's Point just one more time before I left to catch one last sunset on the ER.
