BYD's Pakistan Plans: 25,000 Cars a Year from Gharo Facility | Nukta Business

BYD has grand plans in Pakistan. In this conversation, Danish Khaliq, VP Sales & Strategy at BYD Pakistan (Mega Motor Company), shares an update on the company’s upcoming EV plant near Sindh’s Gharo. The facility, backed by around USD 150 million in investment, is expected to have an annual production capacity of 25,000 units. While BYD initially entered Pakistan with imported Completely Built-Up (CBU) units, work on the local plant has been underway since early 2025. According to the company, the project is on schedule, with production expected to begin by Q3-Q4 this year.
