Detalles Trágicos Sobre Peter Steele De Type O Negative

He compared himself to an infamous dictator, and all hell broke loose. From family tragedies to substance abuse and the loss of furry friends, this is the tragic story of Type O Negative's Peter Steele. Before Peter Steele achieved fame with Type O Negative, he was in another band called Carnivore, and when they broke up, the members had to work outside of music. In the time between Carnivore and Type O Negative, Steele worked for the New York City Parks Department. According to Monte Conner, former VP of A&R at Roadrunner Records, this was Steele's happiest time, telling Revolver magazine, "He liked being home, he liked his routine, and he really liked working for the Parks Department [...] Pete was like the Jolly Green Giant. You can imagine him walking around the park, saying hello to old ladies and probably bringing bagels to the homeless." Steele continued making music while working, but he wasn't interested in touring and resisted it long enough for it to become a conflict within the band, even causing the drummer to leave. Eventually, he convinced himself to tour, forcing him to leave a job he loved.
