Protests erupt in Madison after police fatally shoot armed suspect
"We need them to not kill us." That is the plea from Madison residents tonight after police shot and killed a 38-year-old man. Authorities say the suspect drew a knife, but grieving neighbors are taking to the streets to demand answers. Police had received a report of a person allegedly checking parked vehicles Wednesday afternoon and arrived to find a man, described as being in his 30s, Madison Police Chief John Patterson said during a news conference Wednesday.
