Like a lot of people, I didn’t really know what the mountain bike scene looked like there. So before race week, I went out to meet the people building it: local riders, trail builders, bike shop owners, Gen Z riding street, and the people trying to push the sport forward. What I found was a small but seriously passionate scene, full of energy, ambition and hope for what’s next. This is the story of South Korea’s MTB scene just before the world turns up.
