Sound Exploration: Moog Muse, Microcosm, Digitakt, and Chroma Console

This video explores a particular sonic palette we drummed up using the Moog Muse + Microcosm, Digitakt, and finally Chroma Console. The theme of these sounds is constant movement, aided by Microcosm's HOLD SAMPLER and Chroma Console's GESTURE recording feature. The sound starts with a synthesizer, specifically a relatively simple patch built on the Moog Muse. We explore how feeding seemingly contextless musical material into Microcosm can be transformed into a new source of inspiration/musical accompaniment. The musical motifs created by Microcosm are then further altered using Chroma Console's GESTURE feature, a process that allows us to record and loop the interesting moments that result from turning knobs.
