The process should be the same across all trims of the 4g Eclipse. A common symptom of a failing brake pedal sensor is noticing that ALL of your brake lights don’t activate every time you press your brakes. If only one brake light doesn’t activate (for example, the 3rd brake light or one of your taillights), the issue may be wiring related with that specific component. Over time the sensor will fail more often making it unsafe to drive as other drivers won’t be aware of your brakes activating. This is a quick and easy fix and it is recommended to fix it as soon as possible.
