How to Train Yourself for the Hardest FPV Shot of Your Life

For the past two years, I’ve been using FPV drones to bring movement, speed and a different perspective into my landscape films. But this time, the shot I have in mind is more technical, more dangerous and more difficult than anything I’ve attempted before. The goal is to fly up the side of a mountain, pass through the window of an ancient tower and then dive along the ridge, straight toward the sea. Before attempting it, I need to train. In this video, I break the shot down into its essential movements and practise the skills I’ll need to execute it: precise hovering, smooth trajectories, constant altitude, controlled turns and clean, cinematic lines. This is not a beginner FPV tutorial. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I prepare for a complex one-shot flight, turning a difficult idea into something I can actually control. Will the training be enough? The final flight is coming soon.
