Chongqing is the most unusual city in all of China! It’s unlike any other place in the world because it’s almost built vertically. Every part of the city is stacked on top of another, and in some areas, it’s completely normal to find districts spread across 22 different levels! Here, you might come across a gas station on top of a building, a metro passing through a skyscraper, or even trains smoothly moving between multiple levels with ease. The number of staircases in this city is beyond count, and while each section feels independent, it’s still interconnected with the rest of Chongqing in a unique way. Let’s explore this mind-blowing and maze-like city together!
