Calder Divide Trail
The Calder Divide Trail can be done in several ways. You can enter the Calder Divide event in September along with others. There are several options of routes to follow. (see calderdividetrail.co.uk). You can do it as a relaxed individual time trial, with evidence on Strava or Garmin. Or if you're old like me, you can pootle around it, taking in the views (and making a vid at the same time). Whichever way, it's worth doing. It's a circular route so you can basically start at any point. I started in Dewsbury as it was easy access for me by train. The eastern section has pleasant gravel trails. The western section is hillier and more rugged.
