Qual o papel da tecnologia na sua vida? - Prof. Alberto Cupani

In this episode of Maestria Apufsc, philosophy professor Alberto Cupani discusses the philosophy of technology. What is its function in our lives? Why does it work the way it does? And does technology really make our lives better? Alberto Cupani is originally from Córdoba, Argentina, and has lived in Brazil since 1978. He holds a PhD in Philosophy and completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Paris 7. Cupani is a retired full professor in the Philosophy Department at UFSC, where he taught for 33 years. A CNPq researcher for almost twenty years, the professor is the author of several books on the philosophy of science, including "Philosophy of Technology: An Invitation," published by the UFSC Press. Maestria Apufsc consists of a series of lectures by retired UFSC professors discussing a theme that marked their academic careers. We believe that knowledge never retires, and therefore we want to value the experiences of professors who have dedicated decades of their lives to the public university and their respective fields.
