Hyundai Staria Hybrid 2027 review Australia: Petrol-electric people mover better than Kia Carnival?

The 2027 Hyundai Staria Hybrid is available in one grade - Lounge - in a seven-seat configuration. Tom White puts it through its paces to assess whether Hyundai's people mover can justify its premium positioning in a growing segment. Hyundai's bold space-capsule styling remains largely unchanged, but the Staria Hybrid gains a revised front fascia and updated interior trim. Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, while third-row practicality and cargo access are strong suits for family buyers. The 1.6-litre turbo-charged hybrid system prioritises efficiency over outright performance, returning a claimed combined figure of 6.8L/100km. Against the Kia Carnival and LDV Mifa 9, the Staria Hybrid sits at the premium end on price but brings a distinctly refined driving character and stronger standard specification. #Hyundai #Staria #Review -- Timecodes: 00:00 Intro 00:29 Pricing and features 01:43 Design 02:42 Practicality 09:05 Under the bonnet 09:23 Driving 11:25 Safety 11:50 Efficiency 12:18 Ownership 12:45 Verdict -- Read Tom's full review: https://bit.ly/4gORz8H Check out our Hyundai Staria hub: https://bit.ly/4wdtwok Find more people movers: https://bit.ly/4oXlrC5 Visit our EV guide: https://bit.ly/4kDWaKK -- CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Visit our website for News, Reviews, Advice and more: https://www.carsguide.com.au Subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / carsguide   Like our Facebook page:   / carsguide.australia   Follow our TikTok profile:   / carsguide.com.au   Follow our Instagram profile:   / carsguideaus   Follow our X profile: https://www.x.com/CarsGuide Follow our Threads profile: https://www.threads.net/@carsguideaus Follow our LinkedIn page:   / carsguide-com-au
