Today, we're exploring one of the most popular and beginner-friendly day hiking destinations near Kathmandu – Tarebhir (or Tarevir). Nestled in the northern hills, just outside the Shivapuri Nagarjuna National Park, this trail offers a perfect escape into nature. The hike begins with a steady uphill walk along wide roads that are half-paved and half off-road, winding through enchanting pine and rhododendron forests. You can start your adventure from either Jagdol (Kapan) or Budhanilkantha, with the trek taking roughly two hours. Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the valley.
