I still can’t believe this place is in Korea. As someone who dreams of spending a month in southern Italy someday, I was shocked to find a spot in Tongyeong that felt just like the kind of coastal scenery I had only seen on Instagram. I came across photos of Manjido by chance and knew I had to go. If you’re wondering whether to visit Manjido or Yeondaedo, the good news is that the two islands are connected by a suspension bridge, and you can explore both in just a few hours. We stayed for 1 night and 2 days and spent the night on Yeondaedo. The sea here is usually known for being clear and beautiful, but unfortunately the waves and wind had been strong for several days before our trip, so the underwater visibility wasn’t great.
