Meet the Legend - Eric Zchiesche

Eric Zchiesche has enjoyed a nearly 50 year bouldering career, having begun bouldering in the late 1970s. He has put up first ascents across the country in destinations like Moore's Wall, NC, the New River Gorge, WV, Devil's Lake, WI, City of Rocks, ID, and many more. Zchiesche made his career as a fine artist, and has been living in Ogden, Utah for the last decades. Notably, now in his mid-60s, Eric has recently climbed up to V11 in Little Cottonwood Canyon, and notably sent his 30+ day project, Slick 50 (V8) in Ogden. An avid KAYA user, Zschiesche shares in this interview his perspective on the changing landscape of climbing data sharing, as well as a host of wild stories from his years on the road and living as a dirtbag climber.
