A Bicycle in the Rapeseed Fields: Watercolor With Parrot Interruptions!

🎨 Painting a bicycle in watercolor might be the hardest thing an artist can attempt. One wrong angle on a wheel, one wobbly line — and the whole illusion collapses. In this slow, gentle timelapse, I take on that challenge in the golden rapeseed fields of Berg, Austria. On our trips to this quiet Austrian village, we love watching the rolling countryside where, in early summer, bright yellow rapeseed runs right up against the green. You'll see every wash, every lift, and every moment where the paint finds its own path across the Fabriano 300gsm paper. 🦜 The parrot interruptions: As always, our four grass parrots have strong opinions about my time management — though only two of them make it into this video: a dad and his baby, who still needed hand-feeding.
