In this lesson, we will make geodeulji, a decorative accent added to the sleeves of a jeogori. Usually, sleeve color-blocking is done during the sewing process of a banhoe-jang jeogori (half-contrast jeogori). However, if you make the geodeulji detachable for a plain jeogori as well, you can easily change the look and create different moods—just like a banhoe-jang jeogori. It also reflects the wisdom of our ancestors, who designed it so the sleeve ends could be replaced when they became dirty.
