For an entire generation of fans and movie goers, Michael Keaton would personify the character of Batman with his brooding and electric performances in Tim Burton’s 1989 smash BATMAN and its 1992 sequel BATMAN RETURNS. Though I personally enjoy every single iteration of the character and find value in every actor who’s portrayed the caped crusader over the years, these films were my introduction as well and the vision conceived by Burton and brought to life by Keaton left a lifelong impression on me that I’ve carried for over thirty years. Every actor that has donned the cape and cowl is wonderful...but Michael Keaton is my Batman and he always will be. This tribute was made in celebration of Michael’s eagerly anticipated return to the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Andrés Muschietti’s upcoming FLASH feature film.
