A Garden That Solves Its Own Problems | The Three Sisters And A Chinampa

Can a wet area become productive? In this video, I prepare the Three Sisters, build soil on a chinampa, grow food in wet spots, harvest Purple Peruvian potatoes, and show how weeds, wildlife, and ecological systems can work together in the garden. Today in the garden, we prepare the Three Sisters, harvest Purple Peruvian potatoes in spring, and continue building a chinampa designed to transform a wet area into productive growing space. But this video goes beyond planting. We talk about how weeds can become new gardens, how potatoes can help build soil, and how working with natural conditions can reduce work over time. I also share how I adapt the Three Sisters for our climate, why timing matters for planting corn, beans, and squash, and how I use ecological relationships to strengthen the garden rather than fight against it.
