I headed to an interview at a brand-new boutique hotel getting ready to open in South Beach. The property is still under construction, so I got a unique behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a hotel to life before opening day. I toured the property, checked out some of the guest rooms, met with leadership, and had a great conversation about the opportunity. The biggest surprise? They offered me the job. I appreciated the offer, but I also know my value, so I submitted a counteroffer and now we’re waiting to see what happens next.
